Little and Large

A tiny variegated red-flowered pulmonaria ('lungwort' as it was thought to cure lung problems) surrounded by ever-present celandines. The celandine is an ideal weed, colouring the ground in yellow flowers, after which the leaves disappear till next year.
This kerria japonica, about 10 foot high (3 metres, kids)  grows at an angle because it was pushed sideways by a huge leylandii conifer, now removed. A nickname is 'bachelor's buttons'.
